Fellow UK boxing fans. Was Ricky Hatton the one to put European boxing on the map?

UK always has been on the map. Hatton was an international star yes but I don't think he put us back on the map, we always have been...

In the US, casuals know Holyfield, Tyson, Ali. Then a little more informed boxing fans know Joe Louis and SRR.

    Casuals don't know Lennox.

  8. Everyone I have met on my travels (including over 2 years living in the U.S) who are sport minded have known who Lennox was if boxing was mentioned

lol it was probably the fact that boxing originated in england that put england on the map for boxing.
