It's been 3 years now, RIP Arturo Gatti.

I had the pleasure of seeing him for the first time when he fought Micky Ward for the first time. Couldn't ask for better timing to see him for the first time. He was truly special. RIP champ.

 

Just spent a couple of hours watching Gatti fights, including Ward I. Not only was it an amazing fight, the two guys showed so much class and respect to each other afterwards.

Gatti is absolutely loved by fans like me for so many reasons. If you ever battle though anything in life, you could relate to him. It sucks he is gone.

 

thats exactly what i think happened. she wasnt there when he was on the ground past out. she said she didnt see him for like 10 hours. she killed him by her own actions. gatti was depressed and needed help and she fugged him ova. she was looking for that big paycheck. so, she let him kill himself and took his dinero. ive seen some ruthless people in latin countries man. they would do anything to get rich the easy way. its like a way of life down here. they get caught up with the american dream when they live in a poor country. they see no hope or a way out of their plight that they go thru extreme measures to get what they want. the problem is that nothing good comes from living in the ghetto. u breed shite in, u get shite out. latin american countries like mexico, dr, brazil, colombia r drug infested. they learn from an early age to get things the easy way. u start getting caught up in that world of drugs and crime, u dont see anything wrong with it. u become immune to it.

Nah, I'm pretty convinced it was suicide. . . Gatti had a lot of demons, and even testimony from his family showed what his state of mind was leading up to his suicide. . .

He was on pills, and drunk as ****. . He just beat his wife, and got publicly shamed by the brazilians. . . In a moment of weakness, further distorted by booze, and pills, he took his own life. . He was disgusted with his behavior, and the man he could become at times. . .

Still doesn't take away from his warrior spirit in the ring. . .

RIP GATTI. VAYA CON DIOS.

And Gatti pretty much dominated the 10th. Incredible stuff.

 

First time I saw him was against Gabe Ruelas.

I thought Ruelas is going to stop him, then thunder echoed on the arena.

Yeah, I agree Doby, we'll never know for sure. . .

It's just that based on totality of the evidence, and circumstances that I have heard, suicide seems most likely. . .


I can't imagine the Brazilians having any motivation to cover up a murder. . . And the cameras around the hotel saw nobody leave, or enter the room from the time Gatti, and his broad returned to the room for the noche.

And I just don't see that little money-grubbing skeezer being strong enough to kill Gatti. . .


But certainly there are some question marks, and based on the type of girl that she seems like she was, it definitely would not be the first time they have killed. . .
