I think Haye is going to run circles around Chisora. Just a different level of speed, talent and athleticism. Haye will not allow this to become a toe-to-toe street fight, he's not that stupid. Haye will be on his backfoot and carefully potshot with long hands and only swarm Chisora once his eyes are swollen up and he starts to gas. This will be like shooting fish in a barrel for Haye.
I can't believe people still bring that **** up. It's just desperate. Yeah and Wladamir got battered by Purrity, Brewster and Sanders. It doesn't mean ****. He is a far better and more complete fighter now, as is Haye.
As for the thread title. I don't know if this is an easy night's work for Haye or not. The matchup is classic in many regards. Chisora is the come forward, physically powerful and strong chinned pressure fighter with decent power. Haye is the fast, skilled but smaller guy who has the ability to move on his feet and who has a good defence when he is focussed on it. IF Haye cannot hurt Chisora I think Chisora will walk Haye down, rough him up and either stop him late or win on points. If Haye is able to hurt Chisora then you have the slugger vs pressure fighter combination where the power of the big hitter is increased by the pressure fighter's forward momentum. That can lead to a short and brutal fight where the pressure fighter ends up on his ass or his face. This fight very much depends on Haye's vaunted power IMO. If it works for him he wins. If not his low activity will be his downfall despite his obvious talent. One thing I am almost certain of is that Chisora will force Haye to fight. He doesn't do tentative. And with less rounds that could lead to a faster pace from both guys. It's actually an intriguing match up IMO and I can't wait to watch it, at the movie theatre no less
Wonder what are the odds on Chisora DQ'ing himself out of there at some point. Mother ****er might have a gun hidden in his corners turn buckle son! :scaredas:
Hayes a far superior boxer than Chisora but you know what, it wouldnt be a surprise to me to see Chisora nick the rounds by his workrate alone and end up getting the verdict. Cant see any KO, its gonna be a points decision
I don't pick chisora, but i can UNDERSTAND why people pick him. It all boils down to how much people think chisora has improved over his last couple of fights.
I would be surprised if its and "easy" night of work. Its never easy when you have a man 40 pounds bigger than you coming at you nonstop. Not to mention Chisora has never been stopped and fought Vitali, Helenius and Fury, 3 big men with HW KO power. I'd be shocked if Haye could knock him out. I think Chisora will never stop coming forward unless Haye can knock him out. Haye will likely win the early rounds with movement, and become increasingly more frustrated as the rounds go on trying to keep Chisora away from him. I'd slightly favor Haye to win this fight on points, but to call it an easy night's work seems a bit of a stretch, the only way to stop Chisora from coming in will be to kill him basically. And Haye is coming off a year of inactivity, while Chisora has been fighting top HW's.
Haye is very picky with his fights. He is smart and has chosen Chisora as his next opponent for a reason. If Haye fought Chisora would possess issues for him then he'd have avoided this fight IMO. Haye is to intelligent/smart to lose this fight. I just can't see him loosing. Haye by UD.
Other dubious attributes aside, Chisora is not stronger than Haye. Haye rocked Valuev and has explosive power in both fists. Besides he's also already dropped Chisora (and his trainer).
