The problem is that this country is full of haters. The people are all cynical and judgmental, if you come across more confident than the masses or someone with more ambition, people (including family and friends) will try and put you down a peg or two. When you do achieve what you were after, no one comes to congratulate or tell you they were wrong, they just get on with their lives secretly hating on you. But if you failed your pursuit, everyone comes along to say "I TOLD YOU SO".

With Khan it's a mixture of good old English cynicism but also a bit inherent and subconscious racism.

Anyone who interacted with Amir Khan on a personal level will tell you he is a nice, engaging personality. He has a lot of time for people.

And there is the problem, the fact that if you do say you dislike Khan you are labelled a racist.
You do not see how that plays right into the hands of real racists?

I'm sure there are a few people knocking around that do make judgements on race and religion but the vast majority do not.

Could it be the fact Khan is disliked because the second he opens his mouth he sounds like an arrogant delusional *******? the other day he was calling himself a "superstar" :rofl

Khan has done nothing to make himself more fan friendly and thats his choice, it's pro boxing and he wants to make money but the way he has gone about it has made it almost impossible for me (and quite a few others) to like him as a person.

Khan is a solid world champion but a "superstar" never. why was he is DC against Peterson and not Vegas? because he can't do the numbers in Vegas. real "superstars" do big numbers anywhere they go.

    Dictionary definition

    Superstar

A widely acclaimed star, as in movies or sports, who has great popular appeal. One that is extremely popular or prominent or that is a major attraction.

That does not describe Amir Khan....

    Khan is alright.

He just suffers from severe foot in mouth disease on a regular basis, that's all.

It's the whole ''Team Khan'' bollocks that annys people. Asif Vali is a proper slimy ****er, who should be stoned to death.

Still, at least he's not working with Alex Ariza anymore.

I honestly don't detect any real hate for Khan, certainly not around where I live. I think probably most want to see him do well.I don't even detect a real racial thing going on.

I like to watch him box but his personality gets on my nerves. He said he's a superstar and he's ready for Mayweather. I agree he's good but if he was a superstar, he wouldn't have gone life and death with Maidana or got beaten by Peterson. Love to watch him fight. Turn the sound off in interviews!

I've always liked Khan, never really understood the dislike for him. He's a bit thick, he also acts like a bit of a knob at times - hardly uncommon for a young kid with a shitload of money and sporting talent.

Have you had personal experience with Asif Vali? What makes you say that about him?

i'm not really into khans one two fast style,i don't think he's very good at adapting to situations that arise during a fight, wether or not it made financial or career move sense i feel he should have tried to avenge the prescott defeat instead of brushing it under the carpet.don't forget he is a cash cow that a lot of influencial figures hav invested greatly in his career, and the khan money machine seems to keep moving at any cost.he has been given some fantastic opertunities in life that a lot of other kids don't get.he has talent yes,but i just don't connect with him, he's tried to get a bit macho of late but i'm looking for him to improve not to stick his mug out and prove he can take a shot.he needed to get the presscott ****** off his back a loooong time ago,and now its too late.
