I can see Garcia catches Khan at the start of a Khan flurry. Khan is also vulnerable to wide hooks.

Hey, Outboxer, do you think those looping shots - that creep around the guard - could be Khan's undoing tonight? When punches come wide and out of his line of sight, he appears to get easily clipped by them.

'Pretty handily'? What, did u watch the fight only once? Haha let me remind you, Khans ass whooping started in the 3rd round! And thats a damn fact. Would you like me to post the fight? Hmmm sounds like ur talking out ur ass bro. Hence why u continue to ignore the fact that Khan has no defense, cant fight off the backfoot, backs up in straight lines, hence why he gets clipped and rocked and leaves his chin exposed making it even easier to crack that glass.

Garcia got busted up by washed up Morales. Who is slower, and less powerful, with less of a gas tank than Khan.

Is anyone taking into account Morales was gassed when he got dropped? It didn't hurt him, and he shook his head when he got up because his old ass body betrayed him and he knew it. Just like in the Pac rematch, he just didn't have the legs late in the fight, and again in the Garcia fight.

I haven't seen enough of Garcia, but I do think Khan has trouble with those kind of shots. He had no answer for Maidana's looping overhand right -- he was moving right into the shot in the tenth round. I also remember Peterson catching him with some shots around the guard too, especially when Khan was on the ropes. I think it's partly because of his upper body stiffness. In some ways, Khan has tightened his defence since joining Roach, but it's still one-dimensional -- he just shells up and tries to weather the storm. He doesn't really use much head movement, rolling, upper body weaving, etc. He also uses his feet to quickly get away. I think this is why those looping punches are dangerous for him, because he moves away from the shot, his head straight up in the air, rather than slipping underneath it or rolling away, and so it catches him flush.

I'm not sure how the fight will go, but Khan's sparring footage looked very unimpressive. (The first session they showed, anyway.) His opponent was catching him with the kind of shots you're talking about, the ones that sneak around the guard. I remember Roach saying that he wanted Khan to settle down in the ring, to move with short, smooth steps rather than jumping around. I don't really see that in the sparring, but we'll soon see if Khan has learned his lesson.

khan will probably outbox garcia and not get badly hurt, but he really should think about the stoppage early and not leave the blind vegas judges to award the fight to the american regardless of how it really goes down again :hey

Using the Tijuana tape to evaluate "Dani" for this fight is misleading imo. Even a Shotrales still has better ring instincts, judgement of distance, and timing than Amir will ever have.

I think he has to slip in and out the middle rapido.Garcia punches very, very wide and we know those loopers don't agree with Amir.
It's weird because those are the punches that take the longest to arrive, yet they're absolute Kryptonite to Khan.
I hope he's been working on those plates of meat and doesn't get tied up tonight, because I think good in and out movement is a must tonight.

Steroids give you strength and stamina to bully your way inside and muscle your opponent around the ring. It's self explanatory, go and watch the fight. Peterson was just coming forward without care.Because he is juiced up as **** and had the (peds) advantage physically over Khan.In that he can push Khan around and had the stamina to never run out of energy.Cause Cheaterson like Berto and like Tarver are roid munchers and are a disgrace to the sport of boxing.

Cheaterson can get in there and work because the kid was roiding it's obvious now. There was nothing Khan could of done to stop that roider in it's track. He was probably on A side mef too.

    Nice one :good

And yeah, I too am looking out (and hoping!) for the difference in Khan's footwork. Like you say, stepping around the ring as opposed to jumping and running. A bit of upper-body and head movement would be a treat, too.

    Looking forward to it.

    (Enjoy the Haye fight!)

Good mention! Which brings to mind Outboxer's comment - about Khan staying upright and falling backwards (or staying still) and being in the firing line of those looping shots. Roach in one of those preview shows was telling Khan to fall in towards Garcia when he [Garcia] swings, and to then slip away. He warned him against remaining still.
