There seemed like about 2 seconds left in the round, so it does seem to be a little odd. However, the fact that Chisora and Co. never once complained or pitched a fit about the stoppage lets me know Chisora really wasn't alright, or had taken enough in his mind. He was hit with some massive, flush shots, and just got taken out by the better guy. Props to him for literally going down swinging, and props to both camps for putting on the best HW fight in years. I'm still excited about the fight. And this hasn't happened in the HW division is quite some time.
To be honest i was suprised it wasnt waved off straight away when he hit the canvas the 2nd time, it was a brutal knockdown.
The ref isn't watching the clock though. Chisora was ****ed up. The fact that he, his trainer and his promoter were all content with the stoppage tells you all you need to know.
**** ref. way too much involvement, taking 3 or 4 seconds to warn a fighter about clinching every time? stopping the 3rd round with 10 seconds left and in a heated exchange?
Referee done a poor job tonight. What the **** he was doing cutting one of the rounds by 10 seconds, I do not know. Especially when the fighters were in the middle of a heated exchange.
