Amir good for boxing but bad for his own health. Dude should quit fighting and retire/ He has inspired a generation of ****stani kids in the UK(so we should see what comes from that in about 5 years) but he could have done more for boxing. This was the first boxing fight he had that was telecast in ****stan too- but with his defeat there goes a new audience to the sport!

he's had a good career....but it seems like he found his level.

    Hmm makes you think :think

    Hahaha

  3. You're probably right, but my first reaction was that it was a bit premature.

Simply because, what was Amir meant to do? He was stood in front of the ref, on solid(!) legs (well they were when the ref was checking his condition), and he said 'yeah, I'm alright'. I mean sure he would probably have lost anyway but what is he supposed to do to stay in that fight other than what he did? Stand up straight, hands together, look the ref in the eye and say 'yeah I'm alright ref'.

Seriously, as a fighter what more can you do?

I doubt anyone did. That was a pasting. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. My friend was astonished to see Khan blitz in such fashion tonight. He fought I knew my stuff and he just literally watched Khan get demolished.

    Massive props to Garcia..

Yeah but Kenny can see it in Khans eyes, he is experienced enough to know when a fighter is working on instinct, isn't really there and has to be experienced and smart enough not to send a man out to get needless hurt.

When Kenny asks him again if he's alright, it's more a "hey, are you (sure your're) alright man?" because he can see looking at him that's he's not really with him.

There's is no doubt that the stoppage was the right call, if anything Bayless can be accused of letting fights go longer than they should ... see Cotto/Pacquiao.

he was on shaky legs, he shouldve just jogged out the 4th instead of trading. but i suppose its in his DNA. i loved the bayless camera though, its great to see it from his perpective, a bit like fight night 4 but from referees point of view.

regarding the fight, every khan fight there are people predicting his 'glass jaw' will be shattered. but in this fight more than any recently including maidana there was good reason to beleive that. the biggest being his S&C coach and amirs general build. amir was very top heavy and was amazing v-shaped physique - which goes to show its not a body building contest. bu amirs main weakness is his legs, and you could see it was his legs where he didnt have control or strength. ariza was good for khan because he understood this. tabares didnt, ariza would make khan jog in sand after a gruelling work out to give him strength in those legs, and it helped khan against maidana. i said before the fight garcia hits hard and has a good chin and is an accurate counter puncher. and khan caught that shot in devastating fashion and his legs never truly recovered.

his other problem is he shows too much heart and doesnt use his brain. it might be an ego thing - but after being dropped like a sack of spuds he tries to get up instantly, and instantly in the sense of judah-tszyu. he did the same in the prescott fight and on top of this he tries to bang away straight away. what he should do after a heavy knockdown is get to his kness wait and then get up approaching 8-9. his legs would be more steady then, but i guess no ones training amir to get up from knockdowns in the gym.

Khan needs to use his jab as a scorin punch he just uses it to initiate an attack, if he woulda just kept jabbin Garcia he wouldnt have known what to do because its hard to counter a jab

Khan for all his talent has always had serious in built deficiencies. These were exposed again. I expected him to win on points by boxing Garcia on the outside but clearly father Angel Garcia got into his head and Khan exposed himself to Danny Garcia's left hook honey punch. The true worth of Freddie Roach has been exposed again.

Seen it coming. Cocky little ****. So pleased that the Amir Khan hype train has finally been thrown off the rails. All this Mayweather stuff was really beginning to grate. And Freddie Roach - what the fu@k? So funny after Amir promising his usual knockout. Bull****

Khans punch resistance left with Ariza, shocking how bad its suddenly become again, 2 back to back defeats, he should seriously consider retiring whilst hes still got loads of cash ans his health intact.

I called it for Garcia by KO in the build up thread. Khan was trained part time by Roach. He trained in 3 continents, his concern seems to be flaunting cash at clubs in the middle of training and planning his after party. But most importantly, Khan fights for the crowd like a he has to prove something instead of being smart.

He looked slower to me with all the body building he was doing with no road work. He also looked more jittery and stiff. It just amazes me that Roach not once mentioned to Khan that Garcia was ad******g to Khan's speed looking to time him and that he should be cautious. Khan should quit while he can in good health.

The ref called it right Khan would of got seriously hurt had it of carried on.Bayless gave him more than enough opportunities on the previous knockdowns his legs were gone.

Khan had been given a gameplan he didn't stick to it three punch combinations max then get out and move away from Garcia's hooks.Khan staying in front of a fighter that would have walked him down all night.

You can question his conditioning all you want you can question his training camp all you want but seriously if you want to stand & trade against solid punchers you have to have to question his ring intellegence he played into Garcia's hands.

Fantastic win for Garcia his camp got inside Khan's head & they executed their own plan to perfection. It's a long road back for Khan no excuses when you don't fight to your strengths you can look to nobody but yourself!
