I want to like Danny and be happy for him, but his dad ruins it because he's a dick!

that's a blanket statement my man. I know for a fact that I am not a racist and I can recognize a racist statement. from what i've heard, angel garcia isn't a racist, he's just ignorant and rough around the edges. admittedly, I haven't heard everything.

Boxing is a brutal sport with shady characters running. Let the man protect his son.

It will be up to Danny Garcia to put a muzzle on the old man. After all, he is a man now and is the one doing all the hard work and climbing between the ropes to earn his----and his big mouthed dad's living.

I don't particularly see Angel Garcia as being racist, but he comes off like an ignorant man that is trying to get some media attention for himself on his son's coat tails.

I didn't see the post fight interview, but if it's true that Angel kind of took it over, then shame on him for not letting his son bask in HIS accomplishment.

The dad talks smack, but hopefully in the future he will tone it down a bit, He is a great trainer and knows his stuff. Blessings to Danny Swift Garcia and all his family and Khan and his family as well, Khan made his money and now he can go and retire if he chooses to, he has his health and is well of financially.

I dont think so. I think it makes perfect sense that instead of the media focusing on the dynamics of the fight at hand and danny himself, they're focusing on his dad, who danny has been observing his entire life.

Garcia's dad said a couple of things that could certainly be construed as being racially motivated (and were just kinda stupid at any rate), but he seems to have his son's best interest at heart and has done a good job of training him.

Danny comes off as being pretty likable regardless of what his father says.

    Oh God.
The father is an IDIOT. There is no other way to describe him. He acts like a ******, and everyone saw it. Everyone saw his stupid ****** dance, and stupid hand gestures and we all heard his stupid remarks. Danny Garcias father is an IDIOT and he's riding his sons coat tail, who will accomplish far more than the idiot father can ever hope to.

Garcia Sr. Knows this and as we observe greed in this world, the IDIOT is no different.
He wants a piece of the pie.

Those who are giving props to Garcia Sr. being a boxing genius, are idiots as well.

Now on the other hand, Danny Garcia, is a hell of a fighter. He's fairly well spoken, a good sportsman, and most likely the man to beat in the division. He has it all. He can bang and box. He's only going to get better. Kahn on the other hand, will never face Garcia again. Kahn will pee down his own leg at the mere mention of Garcia's name.
Kahn didn't just lose a fight. He took a severe beating.

He actually talks too much for my personal taste b'sides the fact that he's tasteless concerning his son's opponents but he and danny said afterwards that they respect Khan and that they appretiated the fact that he gave them a chance at the big stage along with GBP, Mandalay Bay and HBO.
