Freddie roach really not lookin good

Boxing keeps the guy going even though he has a terrible condition. I agree that he will need to retire soon as he is in no state to do the training. He can´t do the pads like he used to.

 

Both his health and recent performances hasn't looked good. Should think about retiring soon. He has nothing to prove. Part of being a great trainer is to be mentally sharp and I'm not sure Roach is on that level anymore. FFS, I can never understand why certain old people with lots of money don't just spend the rest of their life lying on a nice beach with a cold drink in their hand.

 

You guys didn't watch the Behind the Ropes that featured Freddy.

Boxing is his life. He hopes to die in the gym, he said so out of his own mouth and I believed him when he said it.

Because he isn't old, he is only 52 ... he'll keep going as long as he feels he is physically able to but it's sad to see him deteriorating like he is.

Freddy's condition isn't caused by boxing, its a genetic condition. Boxing has nothing to do with it.

 

Parkinson's happens to many people, there's no evidence boxing causes it.

 

He aint got long left on the top.

 

His health seems to have really deteriorated lately. Compare him now to 2008/2009. I can't help but wonder if his Parkinson's is affecting his ability to prepare his fighters.

 

He's an excellent trainer.

His physical and perhaps even emotional handicap is catching up to him, obviously.. I hope for his sake he's able and capable of doing this for the remainder of his life.

 

I'd hate to see how far along Roach would be without the conditioning training fighters gives him. Keep it going Freddie.

 

Fred needs to pass on the wisdom to a trusted younger man now and slowly begin to take it easier with the day to day rigors of getting his fighters ready. It might even increase his capability to stay in the game longer in some other role that allows his health to take a greater priority.

I'm not really a huge Freddie or Pac fan but my granddad has parkinsons to and makes me sad to see Roach like that in only his 50's. Compared to only 3-4 years ago the condition has really begun to take its toll.

There'll always be room in the game for a Freddie Roach, in some form or capacity, boxing's his life.
