I'm torn. I've had a soft spot for Souths all my life. I loved that team from the early 90's that won a pre-season cup, Mellor, Sinclair, the big dreadlocked kiwi who is now Young Hoppa's manager. But ever since i discovered Wide Open Road a hatred for the Bunnies has started to fester. It sucks as i would like to be bandwagoning them at the moment, they play some great, great football.

 

The impact i've had on your worthless, boring subconscious, makes my heart sing with joy :happy

Souths, IMO, have by far the best backs in the comp. Inglis, Merritt, King, Farrell, Everingham. They also have the 2 most mobile back rowers i can think of in Taylor and McQueen (he is a great young player).

If they dont have any injuries between now and October I cant see them not making the GF... they remind me of the 2005 Tigers and yes i do think Souths will win the comp. Not just from last night, from all year. They will hit their straps when it matters and steamroll everyone... the dogs might give them trouble but i see Souths winning the trophy in the end

 

Souths are a pack of ****s, owned by a bigger ****, but they play good footy and i enjoy watching them

 

King, Everingham and Farrell are ordinary and the bunnies backline are nowhere near the best in the comp.

I was shocked at how slow Everingham was, letting Moga smoke him like a joke.

 

lol between evringham and king would they beat todd bryne?? this is a team with no finals gooty experience as a group i dont see them winning it to be honest

 

Luke Covell would give them a start and run them down.

I love merritt and he's a joy to watch but he's quickly turnig into the next talanoa when it comes to defense. The defense he's shown this season is the reason why he's not an origin player.

 

Farrell has been great since finally playing in his natural position on the right. He has a great left fend and is now able to use it effectively.
