danny garcia, lamont peterson and Prescott are not opponents you should be loosing to

???? They are all pretty good. Garcia and Peterson are a class above Prescott though

 

He was robbed against Peterson and Peterson was on roids, so please Peterson is the last to be mentioned even though I do agree with you.

All this "I want Mayweather" talk was nothing but a joke. Khan has been saying he wants Mayweather since his 2nd professional fight. He was laughed at for saying it back then as he is now. It's nothing but bull**** talk and everyone(I seriously hope) knew it.

 

A close fight that could have gone either way is by no means a robbery. That term get throw around to much these days.

 

Peterson should/will be declared a NC
The nature of Khans Defeats is what keeps the people interested, he has never been out boxed, he just got hit with a lucky punch. Armed with this unique combination of skill and vulnerability (plus a lot of heart) makes him exciting. He could win or lose any bout. He isn't done yet

 

To be fair to Khan, there isn't an elite boxer out there who has as weak a chin as he does. It's a weakness which means he can lose to any fighter with decent power. They don't have to be great in any one area, as long as they hit him, they can finish him off.

Garcia is a good fighter, well schooled and solid in all areas and a great chin and lotsa heart.....him vs Matthysse would be a great fight! His heart and chin make it so that his all around solid skillset is enough to beat most guys with more skill/athleticism but not as much mental toughness and he's got enough skill to beat the mentally tough brawler types that don't have his level of skill. He's a got a lot going for him and I think he'll be a champion level fighter for a long time, just short of elite level

 

The thing I like about Khan is that he is always willing to fight the best even if its a high risk/low reward situation. He lost fights that he shouldn't have but he has the balls to make a statement by fighting the best available option on his division.

 

Garcia struggled with Morales but he is undefeated, that being said Khan got took apart by a very mediocre puncher. Peterson is a pretty good well rounded fighter who has only lost to Bradley so he isn't too bad, but boy did Khan look like a scrub in there. Having 1 loss against that calibre of fighter hurts but is not the end of the road BUT Khan has 2 and in both he was exposed.

Furthermore getting raped by Presscott, dropped by Lemon and struggling mightily with Maidana is clear cut proof that Khan has some serious flaws, and is likely done. Really aside from Malinaggi, who can he beat at 147 and above? I think Mike Jones could beat him.

prescott caught khan with a huge shot and khan couldn't recover, fair enough. he lost because his chin isn't the best and prescott has dynamite in his fists, more the former than the latter.

khan's gameplan against garcia was completely wrong, and he paid for it.

he lost three bouts and he's still a warrior. he's must see t.v.

not every fighter can go undefeated, and khan still has abilities. in fact, if khan were to rematch either of these guys, and in the case of peterson, without PEDs in his system, i'd give khan a very, very good shot.

 

There are a hand full of posters here in ESB (myself being one of them) that has been saying since DAY 1...that Khan is not that good of a fighter. Just because you have fast hands....does NOT make you a great fighter. Khan has A TON OF FLAWS. And you would think that the so-called best trainer in the world could either fix these flaws or at least add elements to Khans skillset to hide and/or prevent his flaws from being exposed...right? Khan and Roach are severely OVERRATED!!!!

 

Peterson didn't bully Bradley or Ortiz the way he did Khan, honestly speaking Khan just isn't an elite fighter, he can have a decent career but all that talk he was doing about beating Mayweather was a joke.

 

first of all, styles make fights, and that's not saying khan is superior or inferior to either bradley or ortiz. furthermore, as a result of peterson's past with performance enhancing drugs, it's totally reasonable to questio whether he was drugged up against khan, and not against ortiz or bradley. that being said, I never thought khan could beat mayweather. floyd's the best in the business!

 

Those are all reasonable losses considering he is a Pure Boxer with a Brawlers coach. Those guys are good.
