After a few days trying to convince myself otherwise ive finally decided He won't get an 'elite' level fight and is not and never will be an 'elite' fighter why? Tell me the difference between what has been said from him after Garcia beat him and when Prescott beat him? 4 YEARS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=3sPXuW8uVTs Didn't learn. brain fade. no defence.not the best chin and bad ring intelligence. "you'll see a new Amir Khan come july 14th" - sigh bull****... more like the old 2008 Khan Actually now i'm starting to wonder what Roach actually did? where's the dicipline? I'll still still enjoy watching his fights and will remain a fan for his remaining 3-5 years in the sport. good luck to him becoming a champ again.
lol, it took you four years to realise this. I could have told you this after his first half a dozen contests where he thought he was the second coming of rjj. The dude brings excitement, but he ain't going to be a Mayweather, Pacquiao level fighter. There's no disgrace in that, but he needs to push what he does have to the limit like Carl Froch. Khan has good speed and is athletic - his reflexes aren't as bad as some make out. He needs to couple these traits with a fighting style that is effective somehow. Good luck to him I say.
You only saw the old Khan, a Khan that got hurt and KTFO by a lesser fighter, because he had no idea of ring craft and brains!
- I think his training is missing the Alex Ariza factor. - I think if Ariza had been training him his last fight against Garcia - the fight would have lasted longer - not sure if Khan would have won still - but his performance would've been better imo.....
It gives me no pleasure to say you're right. But it's true. What top level boxer can survive with such an aversion to the most predictable punches in the book? And what fighter WOULDN'T fancy his chances now against Amir now? It's not like Garcia is Timothy Bradley or Thomas Hearns.
