Apparently Bro Nazim was quoted saying Garcia was known for knocking down Middleweights in Sparring. He's known Garcia since he was 10. In the post fight presser Garcia was mentioning bro nazim too.

I definately think spending time with Nazim will make Khan mature. Hope this news is true. Khan would could benefit from him. If not in the ring definately out of it.

All good my brother, hope the familia are well!
what you stated is a what i was relishing on sunday, a change of ingredients and appetite for destruction on my plate.
Speaking of plates and china, amir's journey has been majorly dented and put on hold and no more main course untill he reforms from dishman to the head chef!
If this thread of news is some what bull****? How many times have they left/sacked/replaced that man Ariza? :patsch

Khan's attitude/mentality is one of his biggest problems. Maybe Nazim is a guy who he'll respect enough to fix up a bit?

Do you think amir needs a hyper trainer, one to shout and take no ****. Bro Naz seems like wise dude but chilled out at times.

Hopefully, for the sake of his own sanity. The lad is deluded at the minute.

Unfortunately being surrounded by Roach, who is a smack talker/taunter by nature and Alex Knobhead his ego has gotten the better of him.

If Ariza was crossing the road I'd run the ****er over, then reverse back over him, rinse and repeat x 1000 until he'd gone quiet. Hate him.

Nazim would be a good fit for Khan's personality IMO, as would Steward. Floyd sr and Roger would be awful choices. Not because of their ability, but their personality. There would be zero chemistry there. Khan would not last long in that type of environment, and I reckon the Mayweathers would be ruthless with him.

I'm not sure if army-drilling him would work. Khan's attitude outside the ring is similar to what it is inside. When challenged/criticized, his first reaction is to open his mouth and talk smack back in defence; similar to the way he stands and trades punches.

Instead, he needs a teacher-like trainer. Someone who he wants to impress. We need to remember that Khan's like a kid. He's got that naive confidence (borderline delusional) that can be harnessed in the right way if it's done by someone who he looks up to. Roach was that guy at one point. Remember when Khan first joined him and one of the things which everyone liked about their alliance was that Khan was great at following instructions? Roach used to call him a sponge, because he would soak up his words instantly. And it shown in fights with Paulie, Barrera, Kotelnik, etc, where Khan was probably the most composed he's ever been in his career.

But now that his detrimental ego has resurfaced, that bond isn't the same anymore. Bringing Nazim in, who garners respect from a lot of fighters with the way he talks and engages with them, may re-fresh Khan's approach a bit.

Life is good, bro. Apart from the other half driving me crazy, getting me to buy strange food everyday and waking me up in the middle of the night, as she goes for a snack. The joys of having a pregnant wife, aye. lol

Khan needs someone who is defense oriented, who will try and get him to fight safety first. Which i don't think is something he can do anyway. Like Rico hints at, his mentality is not aligned with his attributes. He basically thinks he's something he's not. Which can be a strength sometimes, but in this case it's a massive weakness as it leads to the bad type of delusion. He's also VERY dim as a fighter. Believe it or not some fighters don't really understand boxing, they just fight. Khan is one of those.

He needs to humble himself, realise his flaws, admit them to himself and fight accordingly. But we've been saying this for years. I gave up a long time ago on him improving some of those weaknessess.

    Amir before his next fight:

"Before the last fight I was dehydrated, dry. This time I'm taking on plenty of fluids and feel miles better for it. You'll see the difference on Saturday night."

once he gets back to drinking them Ariza shakes it won't matter who becomes his coach, because he ain't going to get knocked out ever again.

first of all, Khan is not tall - he's for sure not 5'10. He's lying about the height - garcia's the same size, possibly slightly taller

the difference, khan stands upright - stupid, leaving his chin in the air

and he's not rangy either - he's constantly leaping in, not using the jab to come in and set up his punches. He has a million bad habits. he should re-start from the very bottom

Even if somehow his attitude is fixed, you think some of his flaws can be? You see i don't. I think he'll get stopped a couple times more. Those flaws are just too deep-rooted to change. Plus Khan is nowhere near as talented as people make out.

It's kind of de ja vu talking about Khan because there's nothing to be said that we haven't said before. He can't fight going backwards that well, he's too heavy on the front foot when he throws flurries, he can't take a breather in a fight, his hands are faster than his feet which causes him to over-reach and go off balance, he has fast feet but not good feet, he circles too wide and doesn't do what he should and fight in tight circles, he's a sucker for certain punches, etc, etc.
