You are a dickhead. @blake rayne - dont make yourself sound like a dick too if u havent seen the fight.
Why did I need to see the fight? Is Khan the only person to ever be punched in the neck? Does the title of the thread have his name in it? Does a person need to see every second of all 4 rounds to "understand" a punch to the neck or can they just watch the couple of seconds it takes to do the deed? I'm a clown? You just gave a remarkably similar answer that gave no reference to the fight either. This thread is about the neck being struck not about Khan. ah i get it, it was the Khan insult. All taken care of.
I've seen people get stopped from shots to the side of the neck. Maurice Smith I believe in one of the extreme fighting challenges won but shin kick the the side if neck.
Didn't that shot catch the base Khan's jaw as well? I was under the impression that most of the damage was because of that...
And if watched carefully, his eyes closed and stayed closed until he hit the canvas. He was 'out' and hitting the floor woke him up.
Eh.... Can someone just post a picture of THE PUNCH in question. He got HIT in the NECK. Its plain as day.
I'd suggest studying a bit harder... The cerebellum is the part at the 'tail' of the brain that controls a lot of motor control. It is in the center and just above where the neck connects to the skull. The cerebellum in anatomical terms is not anywhere near the side of the neck below the ear.
Khan didn't look as fast as usual and the quick foot movement not there either. I think the part time trainer move with Tabares wasn't the problem as was breaking ties with Ariza. Khan was a speed demon with Ariza.
Well the cochlear nerve in the ear is sensory, and runs to the vestibular system, so any input it picks up (like a clout below the ear) goes straight to the vestibular. Signals that go to the vestibular get immediately relayed to the cerebellum for regulation of balance. You are anatomically correct, yet the cerebellum gets lots of input from that region and it does affect balance directly. Perhaps thats what the dude meant to say, med students are notorious for being **** at getting their message across properly.
