I think Froch should step up to light heavyweight now, there is not much else he can do at super middleweight except smash up Pavlik and give Bute another slap.

Weird thing to say imo, hes been reduced to fighting poor fighters, has looked average to poor himself, lost his fan base, and im guessing not on prime time tv, he aint getting any younger,..................therefore how would it be bad timing ?, he needs another maybe one big paycheck, and he would have a punchers chance against froch, if he can somehow remember how to throw one of those KO bombs he used to do, then he could get something out of the fight (doubt it but how many times have we all got fights wrong ?, last week is a good example, i never thought khan would get blasted out)

  5. Froch will murder pavlik, who wasn't all that in his prime

As for comparing this to Khan v Garcia, what an awful comparison

I watched Pavlik's last fight, it was against a really tricky guy constantly moving and tapping with no power, and he still put him down and won quite easily. Froch would struggle just as much against the same style.

I'm not too interested in a Pavlik or a Kessler fight both men are on the slide and Froch should handily beat both.

It would be a great fight, IMO even better not knowing which Kelly Pavlik will turn up.

I agree that it would be a great fight, plenty of heart and power punches which I would back Froch to stop Kelly mid to late on.

not the best fight but Froch has fought alot of top class boxers a warm up would not hurt...

I think this "outburst" is well timed for the Kessler negotiations.

    would anyone actually pick Pavlik?

not me, I think he trades on power and toughness and little else, Froch has shown he can use other facets to his game, plus i think he handles Pavlik in a trade off anyway tbh

Would have been an epic a few years ago, would expect Froch to destroy him now though. To be fair he has earnt an 'easy' fight.
