Khan does this though, against Limond he got up and tapped his chin and Limond smacked him again and almost put him back down. hell against Laszlo Komjathi in the Kings Hall he dropped his hands and tapped his chin and Komjathi nailed him lol, he did it against Drilzane too. It's his natural reaction
His KO record is seriously deceiving, all those quick early stoppages against much smaller, light punching men being overwhelmed by Khans size and flurries gave him false confidence.
Good post mate. Agree with everything you've said. It's a shame Khan will not drop the macho attitude once hurt. There is no need for it. Suck it up and hang on (instead of going toe-to-toe. There was every chance Khan could have survived the onslaught, but not when your walking onto more shots. He could avoided a vast majority of those Garcia shots, instead threw back and got countered another 20 odd times. Reckless. Khan could be a great boxer if he boxed more intelligently. But he doesn't use his brains and its always going to be his downfall. I guess his recklessness is what makes him exciting though. You always know that one punch and Khan could be out.
There were the actions of a man in huge distress who knew what what was coming and didn't know what else to do. He was actually begging Danny to put him out of his misery
yup, he is a pitter pat puncher, his speed might catch you off guard and get a flash knockdown, and he has occasinally demonstrated a decent bodyshot, but I dont ever recall someone being seriously hurt by a head punch from him
Yeah a lot of British stoppages there that probably wouldn't have been stoppages in other countries. Khan should have got a relatively boring shutout victory from the outside, but was too determined to try to look exciting and got involved in a brawl that he was seriously outmatched in, and paid the price. He'll bounce back and be exciting to watch, could see him beating Malignaggi at welter, and possibly getting a final payday against mayweather as a cash out fight. He needs to work on his discipline in the ring (never getting drawn into an unneccessary brawl) and following direction from his corner.
some harsh posts here, i see it as..yeah stupid but in heat of battle when your heads gone, he is on instinct, his is to say...lets have it then.unfortunatley his punch resitance on satday was ****ed due to that brain scrambling behind the ear heavy shot. If he was mexican doing that half of em on here would luv it sayin what big bollox hes got, going down fighting blah blah...... Amir is always in exciting fights, i wish him all the best.
