    Barrera Vs Morales 4 !

would anybody be interested in this fight as a farewell to the 2 mexican wariors if barrera had a few tune ups?

i know it will never be as good as the first 3 1 and 3 in particular.

    No.And neither should you be.
How can Barrera have "a few tune-ups" at this stage?
    I smell trolling.

who said i was interested in the fight ? it would be nothing like the trilogy as i said before!

barrera said not that long ago that he would like to have a couple more fights and with morales most probably going to have a 1 or 2 also i wanted to know if anyone would be interested in it rather than jobbing to young prospects.

No, no need to taint the trilogy.

Nah, not now... Morales is my favourite fighter & its a lose-lose for him... if he wins then he gets no credit due to what both men have done recently & if he loses then Barrera looks a clearly superior fighter (which is not near reality) due to the 3-1 H2H result.

Morales should have evened the score with Barrera at 130 lbs immediately after the first pac fight, any time after that he was never the same & Marco was following him closely down the slope of decline.

When Barrera was over here he said that he would fight Morales if he got a mega offer, but wasn't expecting it to happen. He also said he was retired but would come back only if it was financially "unrefusable"
I suspect like me,you're a fan and if you want what's best for him, you'll want him to stay retired.Nothing good will come of Barrera coming back.

agreed both men are way past prime and it would probably taint the legacy of the trilogy..it would be something if they had one last tear up to call time on their great careers not saying i want this fight to happen btw lol imo i think if morales trains well he has one last big performance left in him although id prefer him to hang them up!

As a fan of both, I don't want to see it happen because I think they've both declined enough that a fourth fight would likely of a much lesser quality than the other 3 and diminish the series because of that.

As hypocritical as it is though, if the fight did get made I'd still tune in just in case.

I think he had his one last great one vs Maidana, I dont think he lost to Maidana tbh but thats irrelevant, his legacy was already secure as is Barrera`s... their first fight was the best fight ever caught on film IMO & outside of mayweather I think Morales & Barrera in their prime were as good or better than any fighter since Whitaker.

They were special fighters... a 4th fight would be fun, no doubt a FOTY candidate even at this stage & no doubt another close, debatable decision... BUT I dont want them to take the chance at the stage they are at.... if one of them KO`d the other, the loser would probably top himself

i scored it for morales during the first round whenhe was getting battered by the relentless maidana i was like aw ok erik just wanted a pay day but as the fight went on i was like woww at times i thought he was going to ko maidana anyway it would be a decent fight some glimpss of old but it would be nothing like the trilogy.

    Hell no

    Leave the trilogy alone

No need for a 4th fight

Yeah I was shitting myself in that first round, I didn`t want a guy like Maidana to steamroll him but that style suited Erik well as it turned out due to Maidana being right in front of him, Erik was able to let his superior technique do the most damage without having to use his legs too much... & of course he always had that titanium chin to rely on whenever Maidana did get thru cleanly.

Morales won the fight for me tho, a draw at worst.

this is going off topic but do you think morales will fight again this year and if so who do you think will be a good match for him at this stage in his career?
