That's fair too it's very subjective when it come to these 4

I know you know your boxing that's why I was so surprised about you comparing Broner's Power to Valero's Power. Velero was 30-0 with 30KO's.

I apologize for saying you don't know **** about boxing earlier, you clearly do.

I have been paying close attention to Broner lately awesome kid, great personality, good father, believe will never reach Mayweather status

As strong aggressive pressure fighter with a good chin that can punch will take him out sooner or later, before he reaches superstar status his pot shot style will not work on a guy like that

to be fair Hagler and Hearns are really interchangeable here man he could easily be number 3

Duran & Leonard battle it out for spots 1 & 2 - if Ray had not had so many retirements & had more fights vs the other good fighters of the era then he`d be a clear no1 due to his H2H record vs the rest, as it is tho I think Duran`s longevity mixed with his LW reign give him the spot.

Hagler & Hearns is a toss-up IMO, Hearns has the slightly better achievements career wise, weight jumping etc. Hagler has the better H2H record plus a solid MW reign, I swap these guys about depending on the day.

On this day, I will not argue with the thread starter.

    Good post Henke.:good
I was watching the Khan replay on Ringside tonight and thinking how long it took Garcia to finish him.Can you imagine Ray smelling that kind of blood?
Kalule is also a very underrated win. That guy was actually one of the most avoided men in boxing. His manager had to go through all sorts of **** to get him a title shot when the WBA was at it's most corrupt. With better breaks,Kalule would have been a much bigger name.Ray came too early for him.

SRL, Duran (mainly for FW career), Hagler then Hearns
Based more on personal preference than anything. That said, if the ranking was based on "who would you be most terrified to share a ring with", Duran and Hagler would be top.... no contest!

Great thread, so nice to read so much learned opinions and so little bilious hating.

Good stuff no problem.:good I feel that Broner needs to quit trying to be PBF in the ring so much. He doesn't have PBF's talent level to pull it off especially on defense. I think Broner will be good and I agree he's not in PBF's level.

My list is Duran, SRL, Hagler then Hearns.

Hagler is the guy who made me a boxing fan, but over time Duran's become my favouite fighter.

His fight against Barkley still amazes me to this day.

The way a smaller, old warrior can sit in the pocket avoid most of the punches coming his way, and then firing back against a guy who was bigger, younger, and had more power, was the definition of boxing.

But of the fab 4 Leonard was the most skilled if you add up all the attributes of each fighter.

And Hearns, well he had the most p4p power of the four, and he was probably one of the best jr middleweights ever.

What an amazing group of fighters to come along at one time.

He is still young but he has a lot of work to do. He should not believe his press clippings stay grounded and don't buy into the hype ,that has been thrown his way. Work on that defense, learn how to throw combinations. At his age and in that weight class Mayweather was peppering mother****ers with his combos and breaking them the **** down without getting touched

I think you have to rate Duran as number one with Ray close behind based on facts but lol

In my opinion Hagler was the best. I truly believe he gave Duran too much respect and could have walked through him.

Against Leonard I feel he fought Rays fight. While there was nothing in it he shouldn't have done that.

I can agree to this except I think the best win was Leonard over Hearns.

Career wise I would go Duran, SRL, Hagler, Hearns.

But within the Fab 4 era it would be SRL, Hagler, Hearns, Duran. With Duran still being the only guy out of them to beat SRL.

Thanks for all the input guys keep the comments coming and let me know what you think

this is one of the most interesting and subjective topics that can be discussed in boxing, there are no wrong answers and everyone's arguments are very valid
