Most people say that Chavez finnished Meldrick Taylor and that he was shot after that fight....While I disagree I am in the minority based upon threads of the past at ESB...If it is true that he was shot..... his performance a year later vs unbeaten Aaron Davis might qualify!
Herol Graham vs Charles Brewer After looking like a shell in one of the worst fights ever against an equally shot Pazienza, this was a freakishly solid effort against a decent prime fighter.Brewer was nothing special in the grand scheme of things-**** chin- but he was a very good puncher with good physical tools and offensive ability. akin to DLH coming out of retirement in 4-5 years time and giving a strong effort against a Cotto level opponent
Jose 'Mantaquilla' Napoles vs. Armando Muniz II A very gutty performance by the 'thin-skin over the eyes' Napoles, who put together his last good performance.
Yet I rank his win over Ali as one of the greatest of all time? Your right ... no credit at all :hey Surely you can see where I'm coming from with my previous post? I never said it wasn't a great performance by Frazier, it's just not the 'best' performance by a shot fighter
Thomas Hearns, faded put on a great performance against Sugar Ray Leonard. in thier rematch. Hearns fought very well & scored a couple of knockdowns. only to get jobbed with that terrible decision!
