Why is it that Americans hate so much on British Boxers?

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by TheMagicanBoy, Jul 20, 2012.

  1. What is the biggest reason and factor in your opinion.

Read a lot of posts and threads on this site and 'the scene'

over the last couple years and the overwhelming hatred towards British Boxers from American Posters is pretty transparent.

    Some Examples

RJJ Will brutally **** Benn-Eubank etc threads

RJJ **** on Calzaghe during Prime threads.
Calzaghe is over rated hype job ****ing bum

    Prime Hopkins **** on Calzaghe

    Stuff like that.

Froch and Lennox get more pass then the rest, but that can be explained.

1-Froch was dominated by Ward. Which makes him ok

2- Lennox Lewis is the American Weapon to counter something they hate even more. The Klithsckos

American Boxing Posters need Lewis because of the tko6 and because in all
h2h match ups he is the only super heavyweight they can use to bash the Klithschos.

Since most Klittards like to use 'size' as an argument, Lewis being the Super HW he is , is the perfect Kbro Foil.

You can tell the extreme bias right away though, when the same posters
bashing the kbros by using 'TKO6' AND 'LEWIS WASN'T EVEN PRIME BRAH'

viciously turn on Lennox in another thread entitled

    prime tyson vs prime lewis
then all of a sudden Lewis becomes a glass Jaw Brit who Tyson will brutally murder ....

What is the primary reason in your opinion, American Posters hate

why they do i don't understand.it is very bad....

  5. :good I still think it's a bit of a grudge how Calzaghe beat up an Old Hopkins and RJJ when it comes to that topic.

and how Lewis effectively took out half their Legends and Hype Jobs.

if you throw a handful of rice in the general, every grain will hit a moron.

you just have to navigate it and realise there are a few good posters in there.... or just stick to the brit forum

People always forget that Calzaghe was ALSO well past his prime when he fought Borenard and Jones

    Jealousy or annoyance.

Much like English folk that cant be arsed with Scottish people, poke a big dog enough with a stick and it will fight back.

Americans with a genuine love of boxing won't hate British fighters but may sometimes get drawn into the petty mudslinging on ESB.

The problem is the innate xenophobia of the hick part-time boxing fans sat in a trailer park in Arkansas or somewhere. But that's no different from the ignorant numpties in England who jump on the boxing bandwagon whenever a big fight comes around. Some of the comments I heard down the pub before PBF v Hatton were just ridiculous.

Yup, the Kelly Pavlik fans have got to be the worst, there's just no reasoning with them, Froch is ducking Pavlik, who's an ATG and will demolish Froch early doors, and there's no debate on the issue

    :-(

Theres an interesting thread about why people hate on David Haye.

A lot of it is from Americans, and i genuinely feel from them that it's jealousy, they would have ****ing LOVED a David Haye, exciting (most of the time), flashy, articulate, good talker, good looking guy.

HBO would have strapped a rocket to his ass and pushed him to the moon if he was American. He'd be on Saturday Night Live, in films, you name it.

They let it go with the Klits and fall back on the "ali, frazier, foreman etc would have destroyed them" but they can't let it go with Haye, and i really belive it's jealousy that outside of the Klitschkos, the only Heavyweight people pay attention to is a steriotypical american, who's British.
