My home town boy Vicente Escobedo couldn't beat Broner tonight because of the weight and the speed of Broner. He's good, and going to be very good in the heavier divisions, but he is a egotistical disrespectful punk! He can talk all he wants, but he makes himself look like an idiot. Have some class. Don't embarrass that cute lady like that, and be a professional and make weight. You had all the other advantages. Vicente Escobedo is a hard working respectful young man. Kids look up to him in my town, and he helps out those that need help. He accomplished a lot in this tough sport by making the USA Olympic team, and fighting the top pro contenders and world champions. yes he lost, but he tried, and it just wasn't enough. His tears in the ring were for his wife, newborn baby, and the dream of winning a world title he didn't get. He wants a better life for his family. This young man is very classy, and if you get a chance to meet him, you'll walk away liking him a lot. Hope the best for him in his future. Not everyone can reach that level of boxing.

 

Hey, Broner did him the biggest favor of his lifetime. He may never make even half as much money again as he did for this fight.

 

Not a fan of too many slick fighters. Too scared of getting hit. Slick boxers that run bore me.

 

#Mexico! It was a.honest effort but came up short. A lot of people here talk **** but don't understand the sacrafises boxers make up until the point of the fight. The amount of confidence you have to build, the hard work put in training day in & day out. The press, the goals , the fans. Having the pressure of not dissapointing people. The time away spent from the family ( guy has a new born) . This is there career, its all they know. Going through all this and still coming up short justifys his emotions. As a Mexican I was going for escobedo and all though he.lost he maintained professionalism. The better guy happens to be broner tonight but.escobedo is still a warrior!
