Blow your own trumpet here and let your fellow ESBers know just how great you are at sports .

    Personally I have...

Competed in 14 boxing matches, winning 6 losing 8 but 5 of my wins coming by brutal ko
I have made a double century opening the batting at cricket in a league game, only took 110 ball's and over 180 came in boundaries.
I have hit 4 maximum 180's in darts and have a 13 dart finish.
I am in the 200 club in ten pin bowling.
I am totally **** at football.

    That is all.

    Bit of allsorts really.

    Football... nothing really

Cricket... reached the West Yorkshire T20 under 15 finals day, took two good catches and then scored 46 off 16 balls to get us home when it looked like we were gone in the semi final. Out first ball in the final :-(

Rugby... made loads of finals, scored a last minute winner in a quarter final once, then got MOTM in the semi playing with a dislocated shoulder (for that reason only) - those were both in the same year

Athletics... was part of the team that came 2nd in the Leeds schools competition, won the discus event and ran in both relays, coming 3rd in the 4x1 and 1st in the 4x4.

This isn't really an achievement, but I've managed to rack up SEVEN rugby cup finals where Leeds have reached the final.

And they've lost all of them.

    1994
    1995
    2000
    2003
    2005
    2010
    2011

Giving this year the swerve, seen as they won in 1999 when I couldn't go.

Love all sport not much good at any of them just average standard.

Only claim to fame would be I once took 4 wickets in an over (no hat trick) in a cricket game with my 2 step dolly drops. Really funny as the other team kept coming up to me in the pub afterward asking me to teach there slow bowlers how to spin the ball.

Did not have the heart to tell them I have never spun a ball in my life it just goes straight and if you miss it you are normally out, made me feel a sporting icon for about 90 minutes though.

    Thats me done.

If I could have had my choice of sporting achievements. a British boxing champion and holding a lonsdale belt would have made my life complete.

I used to race motorbikes when I was a kid, I like to brag that I once finished ahead of Superbike star Leon Haslam but in reality the reason he was behind me was because he was about to lap me.

Had 42 amateur fights, won 31, lost 11.
Got to three national finals - one NABC final, one jnr ABA final, one ABA final and somehow managed to lose all of them!!
Got picked to train with the England squad but illness stopped me from going and was never picked again.

Played football at academy level (or centre of excellence as it was then) for 6 years until same above illness stopped me playing for 9 months, got released and never really played at the same level again. Along with playing for my county etc.

Took my coaching badges and now coach kids that are at academy level to play football.

That's it really. Bit of a fat ******* now and would rather watch than participate haha.

    I have had a 13 dart finish.
More 180's than I can remember including back to back at the start of leg.
122 Break at snooker (Total Clearance) and have played top players including jimmy white, judd trump etc.
Normally brutally beaten by them all. A Very inconsistant player, I was **** under pressure. My only real good point was I cued staight as a die and had all the cue power in the world. I was capable of potting a long red and screwing back to baulk even on **** tables.
Up to the age of 12 I swam to county level.
Bit of a jack of all trades but not really great at anything. Bit of a lack of concentratiion. I wish I had got into boxing when I was younger.

Yesterday I hit treble 20, treble 20 then started shaking and hit a single 12, I'm destined to never hit a 180!!!!

    Athletics:

Once ran the 100m when I was 14 in 12.6 seconds and that wasn't even the fastest in the year!!

I ran the 1500m in 5m12 secs when I was 14 aswell, I was ok at other events like triple jump and long jump aswell.

    Boxing:

I had 6 fights won 3 and lost 3, I manage to box at Preston Guildshall in my 2nd fight against a guy from Preston. In my 4th fight I boxed in front of Ricky Hatton at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool, I wasn't much good but just got lucky to box at those places.

    Football:

When I was 12, I got the Player's Player and Player of the Year in the same season and I suppose I was ok at football but other than that, my team managed to get a U15s match called off because of a brawl including players and parents lol.
