    Another good point.

    I'm just a little disappointed because ultimately, I wanted to see more.

    And candidly, after all the pre-fight controversy I do think Escobedo and his team only had intentions to fight a few rounds anyway.

    It would have been premature if it was a title fight or the purses hadn't been decided beforehand or the fight had not been rendered completely irrelevant and served only to pad young Broner's record.
    As it was Diaz needs to learn how to 'throw' the towel in, I've seen Albanians at traffic lights wave towels with more purpose then that half hearted limp wristed effort.

    You've made some good points.

    Basically the circumstances surrounding the fight dictate whether it was premature or not. Good work.

    He didnt have the fire power to hold broner off an was helpless an only going to get ktfo. Good stoppage

    The 4th round Broner turned it in and in the 5th he was brutal.He was hitting the body and the face at will.Those kind of shots do not knock someone out immediately but do damage someone.It was better to finish the fight so the guy can fight another day.Escobedo was crying like a baby man because of that beating.Boxing is a sport not something saddists watch hoping to see someone dying in the ring.Let's not forget fighters are human.

    I thought they were good - and it was impressive too see Broner work the body the way he did - but they weren't even enough to drop him so I can't give them too much praise.

    He was a broken man.

    Did you not hear him say "Hes too Slick"

    Thats him basically saying i am done.

    It was a perfect stoppage.

    He just saved a good friend some serious long term damage.

    How can you say it was premature?
