Vicente Escobedo, my home town friend will be okay. He was beaten by a bigger, faster talented fighter like Broner. Broner had all the advantages, and the fight didn't have to happen, but with the cash incentive and the opportunity to beat the rising star, I think anyone would have fought. It's an HBO fight, you've already trained hard, and you have an opportunity that any boxer would jump on even knowing that your opponent is much bigger and you're fighting him in his home town. My boy is going to be alright. He'll take some time to heal up, be him his new wife and daughter, and he gets a chance to win the title again, but this time against a legitimate jr lightweight fighter that will make weight. :smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke

Ay tell Chente we proud of him for carrying through with the fight, despite his opponent showing complete disrespect, and unprofessionalism. This is coming from a pro-Broner guy. One of Broner's biggest fans on this forum.

He certainly got a new fan in me.

But yeah, Chente gonna be golden! I bet HBO will be very willing to give him another slot (and along with it another six-figure payday) in the future for going through with the fight despite being screwed over at every turn. He saved HBO's show. They will repay him by bringing him back. Some good fights for him at 130 - Magdaleno, Fortuna, Uchiyama.

He gonna take some quality time off and spend with his family, and then come back with his batteries recharged, and ready to go. WAR CHENTE, WAR!
