Carl Froch vs Bernard Hopkins (Both at their best)....Who wins?

Don't get me wrong. I like Froch. And I hope he whips Kessler's ass if (when) they fight again. I just think the matchup is really bad for him.

 

I'm glad you said probably as if you were certain he would win every round is a tad unfair on the cobra as he gets a hell of alot stronger in latter rounds where b-hop does not, check out the Jermain taylor fights. He would win rounds but agree B-hop would win by decision.

 

Froch would lose and look pretty foolish in the process IMO.

 

I'm not suggesting for a second that Froch wins,but bear in mind prime Bernard is a middleweight,and I just think he could get a little closer to Bernard than he did to Ward.I just have a sneaking suspicion that Bernard wouldn't draw as many errors as most here think,and I think it would be a real roughouse where Bernard takes most rounds,just not completely emphatically.
I just have a gut feeling on this one.I rate Bernard higher than Ward,but something tells me this wouldn't be the fight everyone expects.

 

Are we talking 40+ year old Hopkins or a prime Hopkins? Because a younger Hopkins got stronger as the fight went on.

Cagey, ugly fight. Hopkins probably 9-3 or so, but Froch makes him work for the win.

like the Andre fight. Beranrd cannot stop iron Froch, and will get dirty and get pounded on late on, but he will win it.

Froch is one of my favourite fighters of all time, but prime Bernard would have shut him out.

 

I'd favour Hopkins now to still have enough to pull out a points decision. Prime for prime Hopkins gives Froch a one sided beating.

nowww?? he cant go five rounds at high pace these days, and froch is hardly going to go easy on him, his fitness is one of his strengths.
