i think if he would have met marquez at an even lower weight it would have been a much better fight. marquez had to gain too much weight for that fight.

This thread is so ironic. Because I see a lot of Floyd fans taking jabs at Pac fans because a few Pac fans use the fact that Floyd didn't make weight as an excuse that he beat marqeuz so well.
Why is it so ironic you ask? Cuz they are a lot of the same Floyd fans who say COTTO WAS DRAINED AGAINST PAC at a contracted weight of 145!

Let's see... WW is up to 147. Pac/ Cotto agreed to 145 (Cotto weighed 146 prior fight anyway)= 2 pounds difference for the WW limit, and apparently enough to drain Cotto. Floyd/ Marquez was contracted for 144, and Floyd weighed 146= an extra 2 pounds... 2 pounds is enough to drain Cotto to ****, but losing 2 pounds couldn't have effected Floyd.

You guys can't have it both ways. Anybody with sense could tell you Floyd beats Marquez if he lost 2 extra pounds. Pac beats Cotto at 147, or 154, or 160, or 200. Both the losers of those fights were outclassed, and fought against styles they simply can't beat.

It's not about the 2 pounds it's about Marquez jumping two divisions to fight him that was the difference. If their was a time where both could meet each other properly in a division where they were both comfortable it would of been a competitive fight.:bbb

It wouldn't have mattered it wasn't so much Floyd's weight it was more Marquez looking overweight, flabby, and slow. At 130, 135 it would becomes a better, competitive fight.

I wouldn't say it was 2 pounds of water. Maybe .25 percent muscle, and that matters. But since JMM couldn't hit him it wouldn't matter

The fight was a mismatch the moment it was signed. Floyd just went out of his way to insult the fans even more when he didn't try to make weight.
