I thought Marquez lost a close but clear fight to Nishioka, but he still showed he had the skills to compete at the top level. I have only really seen Vasquez against Donaire but he showed he had a good jab and a tight guard in that fight and appears to be a good fighter.

It is probably a 50-50 fight picking Vasquez for not but wouldn't be surprised if Marqiez won.

As it gets deeper in the rounds I see WV2 maybe getting a stoppage... but you just never know when your fighting a guy like rafa, I guess I got to say I predict WV2 by stoppage but I wouldnt be suprised if rafa won... either way we the fans are winning

It's a tough one too call. Rafa is the far more talented of the two but at the end of his career and has been through hell against Israel Vasquez.

Now he's fighting another Vasquez, a young Boricua in Puerto Rico ( not surprising ). Vasquez gave Donaire all he could handle working a nice jab and looked very well condition. I've been a big fan of Rafa and would like to see him get this win and call it a career. If Wilfredo win, good for him and hopefully he can continue his career and challenge some of the other top guys in that division, after taking some "stay busy" fight. He's been pushed fast and hard taking on some top comp.

I'm pulling for a Rafa TKO in the 11th.

  8. I'm liking Marquez' chances a lot more in this fight after reading that interview with WV3.

  9. :deal :thumbsup

marquez is tough as nails and I hope he pulls off the upset. his three wars with israel vasquez compose the greatest trilogy i've ever seen live.

It was actually 4 fights, but being that the Rafa won the fourth via 3rd round KO. I can see how you can say three wars.

Real toss-up. I think Rafa is going to start ad******g his style to his age. His power is definitely an advantage, but Vasquez has the style to overwhelm him at times. I think I slightly favor Jr. but I'll be rooting for Rafa all the way!

This fight has skilled boxers in a technical brawl written all over it. Im having some of my UFC watching friends over that night and have high hopes of changing some of their opinions about the beauty of boxing. WV2 by KO in 9/10.
