According to the rumors going around, welterweight contender Kell Brook is considering the possibility of hiring Carl Froch’s trainer Rob McCracken. There are rumors that Brook is looking to make some changes after his recent scare against Carson Jones.

Rising prospect Kid Galahad, also trained by Brook's current coach, Dominic Ingle, has also heard these rumors. He doesn't see how a switch to McCracken will help Brook.

“Kell’s relationship with Dominic is different to mine with him. I think it’s all been one-fight deals so far. They are not as close as I am with Dom; I think with them its strictly business," Galahad told the Sheffield Star.

“My gut feeling is he will stay. The Ingles have always looked after him and got him into the position he is in now. When he left the Ingles a few years ago, he looked ordinary sometimes and then after he came back he looked a million dollars.

“I hope he thinks long and hard. Maybe last time he left it was a mistake and he wouldn’t want to make a mistake twice. McCracken looks after Carl Froch and is involved with the Great Britain squad so how would he have time to look after Kell properly?

It would be a great move for Brook.

I say go for it , but be sure too. Jumping from one camp to another can screw you up professionally, although you can learn different things too. The Ingles were erratic in the corner that night, Robs calmness and objectivety might help Brook to see where he`s really at.

Also training along side Froch should make the penny drop for Brook, he'll see what kind of work you have to put in the gym to get to the top.

I agree, i think Brook got caught up in his own hype and cut corners thinking he was that good that he didnt need to train too hard. Now reality has struck and at the right time.
Its his defence i think hes gotta work on, dodging punches relies on reflexes but only when your stamina is good after that you gotta block punches which he doesnt seem to do much, he needs to get a balance in his defence.

    Now this was inevitable

Forget conditioning or fitness or lack of stamina , Eddie Hearn was having a direct pop at the Ingles , it was absolutely obvious , sometimes guys go stale in a gym it happens , McCracken is very very good at what he does , as long as Kell is happy sharing him with Carl and TGB why can't it work ??

This is a no brainer for Brook, he should make the move. As Boxing Analyst says training alongside Froch can only help him in terms of seeing what work needs to be put in while in the gym and in terms of leading the life style outside the ring. Rob wouldnt take any 'big time' attitude off Brook either!

Perfect move for brook. No doubt Eddie Hearns comments after the Jones fight have had a part to play in this if it's true. McCracken won't suffer any of the bull**** the Ingles did while Brooks out of the ring. Also like someone's already said training alongside one of the best conditioned men in the sport who lives the lifestyle down to a T in Carl Froch should make the penny drop.

I think this would be a good move to i think the Ingle corner was a disaster that night.. " get me the ice bucket" and "Towel towel". springs to mind...
There are also other trainers out there to who could bring Kel brook along..

    :rofl

Yeah they're are plenty of good trainers out there but McCracken seems to be the most obvious choice, Tibbs would be good also.

Just like when Khan left Oliver Harrison after being obliterated by Prescott? And like now when he's talking about leaving Roach because he got battered again?

At least Brook still won his fight, and it's clearly the right move.
