Which of these fighters can stop Diaz from total domination at 135? I've included a few from 130 as I feel they would be more likely to move up than a few notable names would be to move down from 140(Hatton, Malignaggi, Witter) Your thoughts:think Campbell Kahn Katsidas Casamayor Velero Marquez Pacquaio Guzman
None, although Guzman IMO is probably his biggest threat. However, Diaz is just too big and strong for the better smaller fighters.
I think he beats pacman. Casamayor is way past it and old so he beats him as well. Some of the others I am not really familiar with, so i cant comment. JMM would be interesting. Diaz should be able to outwork him though.
Guzman isn't a great mover though. Diaz will crowd him, and outwork him. He will bully the naturally smaller Guzman, as he has no power at 135 to keep Diaz at bay. Whilst an interesting fight, Diaz is simply too powerful. He will draw Guzman into a war, who doesn't have the stamina or the strength that Diaz has.
You have very good points. I should not have said "surely beats him" as much as I should have said "has the best chance". Guzman is a much better counterpuncher though and could possibly negate Juans flurries that he always throws. Plus Guzman makes up for his lack of leg movement with great head movement. And to be honest I don't think Juan is the stronger man, I think Guzman is. Very close matchup though and I would love to see it
I dont think anybody in a lower division can beat him. But I've seen 2 of Kahn's fights and for someone that doesn't have a lot of "pro" experience I think he's something special. So if he cant do it no one on this list can.
We need him in there, he has the best chance. You could take away the "everyone beats him" option; that is just silly anyways
