Hagler vs Hearns. (no need to ask why)

Fitzsimmons vs Corbett (Fitzsimmons being first Briton to win Heavyweight title and was a Cornishman which is always an advantage)

Johnson vs Burns (just to see Johnson at start of his reign and fighting in shape)

Clay vs Liston 1 (just to say i was there at to see 'The Greatest' start on the ladder of superstardom, we had heard the talk but this was when he walked the walk)

Ward vs Gatti 1 (epic truly epic)

    Maskaev vs Vitali Klitschko Amateurs
Sugar Ray Robinson vs Willie Pep Amateurs
John L Sullivan vs Paddy Ryan II
    Bob Fitzsimmons vs Gus Ruhlin
Harry Greb vs Gene Tunney I

Damn I forgot that one, Fulton had 70 KOs and the highest ratio of that era.

Joe Walcott vs. Joe Choynski - A mighty midget knocking out a bigger mighty midget.

Joe Gans vs. Jack Blackburn I - Crowning achievement of one of boxing's little mysteries.

Jack Johnson vs. Jim Jeffries - There's decent footage of the fight itself but none that shows the bigots getting quieter, paler and sicker as their balls shrink round, after round, after round.

Harry Greb vs. Gene Tunney I - Cherry-on-top by possibly the greatest fighter ever.

Benny Leonard vs. Freddie Welsh II - Coronation of arguably the best boxing brain ever.

    Extra-curricular activities:

Harry Greb vs. Jack Dempsey spar (if it actually happened)
Charley Burley vs. Elmer Ray spar (if it actually happened)
Young Griffo's "standing in the blanket" bar act.

Your poor, tortured soul. No wonder so jaded.

    I changed my mind.

I want to go back and watch five Greb fights -- provided I can take a camera and film and hang around long enough to put them in a vault somewhere to retrieve them when I come back to the present.

    Preferably in HD.

So I can cash in and buy my own time machine.

As a strict believer in the evolution of the sport, I believe that today is the greatest day in it's history, yesterday the second greatest, all to be eclipsed by tomorrow. It is truly the best of all possible worlds.

If I were to possess a time machine, I would set it for the future to see which of the current dazzling possibilities would emerge as the sport's new paradigm.
