I don't have any issue w/ someone who picks Pryor over Chavez, I see a close fight but would lean towards JCC in a phenomenal match. I do believe that JCC would have beaten that version of Arguello. If you are discussing another version of a prime Arguello we have the makings of a super fight....But at that point I think JCC would do very well. Meldrick Taylor? Meldrick is one of my favorites, but I wouldn't call him similar to Pryor in anyway?
I am not a fan of either guy (but do appreciate both), but probably closer to a Pryor one if I had to fall one way or the other. I just don't see Pryor winning this fight. I believe DLH makes him respect his power much moreso than Arguello was able to at this weight...No I am not comparing Arguello to DLH (either style wise or greatness), because at 140 I think DLH was miles above Arguello at 140. I think Oscar would be beating the Hawk handily, if not in dominating fashion...Pryor would go all out trying to catch up, and during the 11th Oscar stops him.
In hindsight, my vote should be disqualified! As only Frankenfrank sees the fight ending the same way as me! I am deeply concerned and am off to see a therapist and get some meds.
oscaer by ko. Pryors best chance would be too go kamikaze and still oscar is too good a counter puncher with lightening hands
