Home town scoring ruins the HW Olympics. Cuban wins by at least 8 pts yet loses.

What an absolute disgrace of a decision. The Cuban wins the fight by a good 8 points but is robbed blind. Savon now knows what it's like to feel like Roy Jones Junior competing against the host's fighter. Disgusting decision that leaves a real black eye over The premier weight class of the sport at these games.

I feel sorry for the young Cuban after that disgraceful scoring against him.

I'm british and I agree, the Cuban was winning easily imo.

I feel a lot of the scoring in boxing has been off.

This type of amatuer experience only gets him ready to fight in Germany. Sucks for the kid.

:lol::lol: The Olympics is just made for Joshua's last bit of 'experience' before turning pro.

I feel bad for this Savon, but he should have known he needed a knock out.

He felt Joshua's power in the 2nd, and started fighting like a WW

Close fight easily could have gone either way
And the scores reflected what a close fight it was

It wasnt disgraceful at all, what WAS a disgrace was the boxer who was disqualified earlier in round one for what was perceived to be excessive holding, it was no worse than what many boxers have been doing in the olympics.

Joshua won the first round, just.

The next two were Savon's. His last combination sealed it for me.

    Poor decision.

As a Joshua fan, yeah, I gotta' say that was disgraceful. Spoiled my night. The Cuban was excellent, and like bballchump11 has said, he could have gone onto win a medal. Feel really sorry for him.

It wasn't as bad as the Japanese guy getting robbed and the Iranian guy DQ'd, but it was a very blatant hometown decision.
