What is the PRIMARY reason for Roy Jones Jr's decline? I am curious.

    Age.

I don't believe the weight thing. He only weighed 193 against Ruiz, I think he weighed in wearing clothes and had no need to dehydrate or drop a single ounce to make weight.

That's 18 pounds difference. He had months to stop training so hard to bulk up, he could easily have moved back down. It's not like he campaigned for years at heavy. He had one fight 18 pounds - clothed - above his stripped down, fighting weight.

He just got old and lost a step, and didn't have the technique to make up for it.
    Pac will be the same.

He had the kind of style that deteriorated badly with age.

What really set him apart was his relfexes and atheleticism in general, once they started to slip his style became managable by other fighters.

Thats not to say he wasnt a good technicial, with good basics, its just that it was his physical abilities that set him apart.

It's been proven several times that Roy Jones weighed more than 193 against Ruiz.

Now the real question is, ignorant or troll?:huh

roy relied on his speed and power and he started getting tagged once that fell away
when you're this mega king of boxing with A1 confidence and suddenly you cant do it anymore, that confidence dies fast

because he never needed a plan B involving defense he became an easier target - the same thing will happen to pac, while floyd will follow the path of hopkins

    count on it

Like most fighters, getting old pretty much did him in.

Roy would have destroyed Eubank. Even Eubank admitted he didn't believe he could beat Roy

pac and roy are completely different. Pac has been in tough fight after tough fight and has been hit because as a young man he had shitty skills. Roy never ever ever had to dig deep in his life until the first Tarver fight, and it turns out without his reflexes and speed there wasn't a good game plan there and also wasn't a lot of mental toughness. Pac used to LOVE to hit and get hit and get in exchanges and loves being pressured. He doesn't like when people back up. Roy doesn't like pressure. That's the most flawed analogy I could imagine besides speed and power.

Pac didn't grow up being superior to his opponents, and when pressed (the first Morales fights and the Marqeuz fights) he does NOT fold. Roy had an edge over almost every opponent he ever faced and rarely got hit clean. Head to head the prime version of Roy is way more dangerous because there is simply nothing like it, but he had compassion, while the early Pac loved nothing so much as tearing someone's head off.

Roy is not the kind of rooster that God would want to hurt other roosters.
