the referee could have stopped it around the 9th round and it would be a perfect stoppage. pac ruined margarito's eye permanently. the fight against cotto should not have happened.

However Pacquaio is a decent, honourable sportsman and he didn't want to inflict any further damage to Margarito's already badly injured eye.

Not like that Floyd Mayweather who will hit you as hard as he possibly can, on the break when he knows you're not even looking.
