However they calculate the score the Russian ended up winning on countback & Ogogo-Khytrov was scored level so it went to the buzzers.

Did they? Well that's ****ed up then. But it still doesn't explain how there's only three scores.

 

After reading through the rules I think Countback involves adding up each individual Judges scorecard. So for example the 5 judges could have had it 56-50 Khytrov, 52-52, 52-52, 52-52 and 55-53 Ogogo.

The highest winning scorecards for each boxer, in this case the 56-50 for Khytrov and the 55-53 for Ogogo would be removed leaving the three 52-52. That's how I think it works anyway

 

Aparently for countback they tally the 3 closest total scores, not the scores from the individual rounds, which are what appear on the 2012 website

 

The fuss is not about the bout but the adding of scores from the judges.

 

i thought Ogogo was extremely lucky. He boxed well in the first but the Ukrainian won the the 2nd and 3rd in a more domninat fashion than Ogogo won the opening round. Seems like the crowd are having a big say in the GB fights.

The truth of amateur boxing is that home advantage does count, i boxed countless times on my opponents home show and they always sneaked the tight ones. Of course it could just have been that i was ****.......

Which means the countback can't be verified by looking at the online scores.

personally cant see how taylor will make it close enough to get a decision

 

jonas has to first get past american and no way will there be any dodgy decision going against k taylor
