Harrison/Murray on Burns/Mitchell undercard

    Scott Harrison’s dream of becoming king of the world for a record third time increased on Thursday when former British and European title holder John Murray agreed terms with promoter Frank ****** to box the Scot in a world title eliminator.

    It is now up to Harrison to accept the offer to meet the Mancunian on the undercard of Ricky Burns’s defence of his WBO lightweight crown at the SECC on Sept 22 against Kevin Mitchell – with the winner guaranteed a shot at Burns or Mitchell.

    Two jail terms contributed to the 34-year-old former WBO featherweight champion being out of the ring for over six-and-a-half years before he returned in style this summer.

    “Everything is in place and all that Scott needs to do now is sign the contract,” said his manager, Alex Morrison. “He won’t get a better – or a quicker – chance to become a world champion again.

    “I knew how fit he was but Scott showed, when he stopped Gyorgy Mizsei in his comeback in June, that he still has the ability to read a fight.

    “Personally, I think he has too much in his locker for Murray but it’s up to him to prove that.”

    A like watchin murray, this will be a great undercard fight, not a every ****s still it the bar undercard fight. Neva got to see harrison fight and didnt think a ever would! Burns mitchell will top it off cant wait to get there. Burns shud call out broner straight after the victory and both fight at better weight
