Somethin we rarely get the privilege of seeing in todays world of boxing. Fingers crossed Fletcher can rise to the occasion :good
This is what you want to hear. Should be good. Exerpt from fight news interview with Saunders. “Fletcher has got me excited with his unbeaten record and he looks like he can punch a bit, I’m looking forward to seeing if he’ll be able to take my shots. I want to be the first to make a black mark on his record,” “He’s also an Aussie that adds a bit of spice to our fight with England’s rivalry against Australia coming up in big sporting events, but I’ll never to lose to an Aussie and the title is staying here.”
Saunders will surprise you with his boxing skills, his anticipation is excellent, he has quick and fairly heavy hands. On points or by stoppage, but it will be clear and decisive, Saunders is going to be a big star ( hand problems permitting )
Saunders is a real boxing talent.. A bona fide natural, not just athletically but his ring awareness, killer instinct, all those little things that set a boxing talent apart from an athletic one...I don't see definite world title material yet but he will look the **** at this level for a while...but this is the best time for Fletch to be able to upset him..Whilst he is green and Jaz has an edge in experience. I think maybe Fletch stayed am to long...to many of the amatuer habits are still ingrained in him..but I thought that about Geale aswell and was proven wrong there. Will be watching this one with heaps of interest.
Its been upgraded to main event status now. Groves not fighting due to cut eye in his last fight. More pressure on saunders???
Saunders is a quality operator at commonwealth level, your lad will need to be on his a game but these fights usually bring the best out of them, should be a good one.
See what I mean about the Commonwealth title ? nice little thread with heaps of great debate , Have It .
