would still be a star amateur, and possibly win gold at the Olympics?

    lemme start it off:

Amir Khan (not really a flop, but with his hand speed, and wearing a head guard for three rounds, he'd've been a super star remaining amateur)

    Mark Breland

    Khan's a great shout.

I'd argue Judah, he's always very good in the first 4 rounds. (Excluding Kostya and Khan.)

Bojado could likely have contended for gold had he stayed in the unpaid ranks rather than turning pro when he did.

well seeing as most good pros were already good amateurs you know cause it's the same sport, this particular question would have to be the most stupid I have ever heard.

Do you think we should list the worst possible pro boxer imagine them with a light head guard and expect them to be good ? What are you looking for here ?

Even the old audley harrison example is stupid- any man that fights for a world title is not a "flop"

My my,you really like a bit of aggro don't you?
It's a perfectly valid question.A flop in this context means someone who didn't come close to achieving what was predicted and/or expected.
If you thought it was such a lousy thread, why did you bother coming on? You've just shown yourself up.

I almost wish I hadn't pointed his post out JG.Would've been interesting to see him elaborate further.
Would you concur on Howard Davis John?

ABSOLUTELY! P. Thought Davis was the second-coming of SRR when I saw him in the N.Y. Golden Gloves
