Well, perhaps Ike Ibeabuchi had a problem, but if he did, it was only a slight one.

Dead right ! McAlinden totally lost it. He would n't have had a snowball in hell's chance against the older Ali brother. What's more,Ali would have been in a mean mood in the ring with Danny.

Anyone as outspoken as Ali has to be a little crazy but atleast he had the sense to admit it was mostly an act (although the act became very much a part of his personality):

James Butler wins the thread, definitely not a compliment.

I would also mention Valero for obvious reasons, but for those watched his last fight against DeMarco, you could sense than Valero was not right. He had a massive gash on his forehead and continued to fight like a possessed man, and you could see in his eyes he wanted to hurt. DeMarco is usually the tough mexican guy when he fights but Valero made him his son

    Perico 'Parakeet' Fernandez (Spain)

    WBC Light-Welterweight Champion (1974 - 1975)

After losing to Saensak Muangsurin (second bout in Spain, in June 1977),
went into the post-fight drug test, with a beer can in each hand, and drank them
in front of the Spanish Boxing Commision.

He was from Brockton originally which I thought was a primarily Italian area aswell so that may account for the Italian twang aswell maybe??

Also another who had well documented problems was tragic Johnny Bratton
