If it had happened, you can bet we would have heard about it by now. It's certain to be a bull**** story. Incidentally, I have a book at home called Tyson: The Release of Power (written by Reg Gutteridge) which details a supposed 'fight' Tyson had with an inmate. The problem is the complete lack of evidence.
too many pages to read them all, but was this thread a setup to discuss the new fight night game? anyone seeing the same banner ads I am?
On the contrary considering that most prisoners are in jail for drug related offenses the likelihood is that they are in fact sensible; sensible opportunists that lack the moral compass that law abiding citizens have. Tyson was released early from prison on account of good behavior; Tyson fighting in prison was highly unlikely because some of his stature would likely be separated from the general population. And those outside prison have vested interests in keeping him as pleasant as possible. I call the story bull****. Additionally, prisons are not filled with Brazilian jiujitsu's masters, just a bunch of tough guys who can beat up the average person but would get injured if they faced a trained professional. Especially if that professional was Mike Tyson.
and you are an *******.... theres a reason why it is classed as a use of a weapon, when pro boxers use their fists outside of boxing.....because they snap ****ing necks. no one in prison was ****ing around with tyson, not just because of that, but because of his whole background aswell. atsch
doubt this bollocks but i do know that 2pac quoted that tyson approched him in jail and told him to cool it which he thought was crazy and what i found hilairious 2pac 165lb 5 foot 8ish gettin told by tyson to take it easy 2pac also says tyson was a real mellow cool guy and they became friends and that tyson was left alone by most cant find link sorry :nut
WTF! It's a ****in fight! MMA or Boxing...anything can happen and it did. But to give Silva a pass b/c he was 300 lbs and not taking into consideration Mercer was a 150 yrs old, fat and out of shape is only showing your biased. The fight was worthless to begin with...just as worthless as Coutoure choking out James Toney.
Did any of ya'll watch the last Tyson documentary? The dude isn't exactly sane in the sense that he won't kill a person. This guy will kill you. He won't stop until you are dead. ****, in a boxing ring he bit off a man's ear. Not to mention the fact that other inmates probably treated him like I would assume they treated Micheal Vick. Like the world was against him.
I hate to tell you but Mercer is further past it than Silva. Silva's body always looked that way. Strength in MMA's heavyweight division comes and goes. I dont "give a ****" about the fight but the fact that it happened shows a single punch from a big man can change an MMA fight as sure as it can a boxing match.
This. What if Mike seriously injured or even killed another inmate,in self-defence,or was himself hurt? It would be a massive scandal, considering Tyson was such a high-profile prisoner.Totally BS story from the OP.
because mercer was fed up of kimbos hype and there was a "gentlemans agreement" to keep it standing so mercer could give him a boxing lesson, all the while kimbo was getting trained to get him off guard, take mercer down and latch on a guillotine immediately. stupid by mercer, but kimbo wanted no part of mercer on the feet and trained for weeks on taking him down immediately while promising to stand up. stupid by mercer, but still. and on the prison story... bull****, how can these random prisoners suddenly develope mma skills? let alone taking on tyson in "organised" fights, I dont care how ****ing psycho they were.
Have to bring this thread up, because this above is one of the dumbest comments I ever read. Two months ago a 22 year old young man got nailed on the nose by 19 year old young man. Both men are rather skinny than jacked. None of the two is boxer or karateka. It was one single punch, but the 22 year old is blind, can't move, can't talk... he is in long-lasting coma. So what can a punch from Tyson or any boxer do? Well guess. He did hit some paparazzi last year or so and the paparazzi was left with bruises "only", but apart from that he is still weathly and alive. It's just coincidence. I read an interview with former heavyweight journeyman David Jaco. He said that Foreman hit him on the lower back in the first round. That fight is from 1989 and Jaco still suffers from lower back pain till this day.
