Tommy Farr beat Max Baer, gave a prime Joe Louis a tough fight, was 'unlucky' to drop a decision to Braddock.
He lost a close 15 rounder with Lou Nova, who was ranked #1 at the time.

Who has David Haye beat to be rated ahead of him ?

Bruno deserves to be higher than Haye. Haye at second is ridiculous

Then again, Bruno aint nothing to smile about either...

True. He DID beat Tyson, somethign Bruno failed to do twice.

He also did it twice as fast as Lennox.

    Danny Williams, GBHOAT.

He left when he was a kid. He never boxed in Britain ever. He didn't even consider himself a Brit when he was a professional fighter. He was an American citizen.

what's the point of having a 'nationality-based' list of all-time fighters anyway ? The country in question should have at least contributed somewhere to the boxing development of that fighter, I would think.

It's like putting Linford Christie on the list of greatest Jamaican sprinters.
I wouldn't put him on that list. Is that wrong too ?

    I'm not.

Tommy Farr should have run away from Joe Louis all night and blamed it on hurt toe.
He might have then got a better ranking.

    Absolutely disgraceful list.

    Awful.

    Truly awful.

Lennox Lewis at #1 is about the only thing they managed to get right.

Apart from that they could have arranged those names at random and got a better list.

David Haye is so underrated in the classic forum. That guy has frightening power in both fists, electrifying hand speed, great athleticism, fantastic head movement/defense....The guy is a world class fighter.

    I don't see it.

He didn't beat Tyson because he was good, he beat Tyson because Tyson realy was that far gone.

    Of course he's world class.
He's not the 2nd best British HW of all-time though. He doesn't have the record, the resume.
He's faced just one very good/great heavyweight and he was badly outclassed.

I don't care how many positive adjectives people can come up with to describe him.
A lot of hype, and very little substance behind it.
