Yeah, true. Plus he changes his mind as soon as its not benefiting him. At first Haye was an ATG cruiser, so he deserved the shot against Wlad right away, then he is not even a B level fighter.

 

The definition of atg changes from poster to poster.

For me an atg is someone who's greatness transcends time.

The first great hw was john l sullivan, any hw who surpassed him is an atg imo.

Jack dempsey, for instance, lost in his prime to fireman flynn (the same year he destroyed fulton). He didn't beat a great hw until the fight with jack sharkey and by then he was already considered one of the greatest hw's in history.

 

Regarding jack johnson his career is entirely different to how it appears on the surface.

His loss to jeannette was by dq and was essentially a ko victory.

His loss to hart was based on the referee favouring aggression (kinda like scoring chavez-pea to chavez). His prime ended the night he won the fight of the century. The last 4 years of his reign were a joke but his legacy was already established by then.

1) Win his next 9 fights.

Wlad is top 10 easily on his career achievements. He will be #5 longest reigning champ in 10 days overtaking Jack Johnson. He is #3 in consecutive title defenses. Marciano had only 6 title defenses and some people rate him #3 :nut

Marciano could have gone on till he was 40 and a dozen defences if he had been fighting fat forthysomethings.
