The WSB has seemed to have benefited Nevin greatly, how old is he, will he go pro after this and what are his prospects if he does

Lads is this the best team we have had at the Olympics? 1992 with carruth, mccullagh, griffin, etc was for me but this side is amazing, nevin, conlon and barnes have been fantastic and then add the best woman's boxer ever Katie Taylor plus o'neill n Nolan! Where do use think they rank?

Just from a boxing point of view, this team has eclipsed the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne. That team got 1 silver and 3 bronze from the boxing.

That's true - although Fred Tiedt was robbed in his 1956 final of course.

One of the worst parts of that, accoring to Fred himself, was that the press had decided to name him boxer of the tournament but couldn't do so because the award had to go to a gold medal winner.

I hope history won't repeat itself with Nevin tomorrow, although I have a good feeling that it won't.

Paddy Barnes showed pure Irish warrior spirit. I'm gutted he didn't win.

John Joe is pure fúckin class. I ain't never seen an Irish fighter move around the ring like he does. He schooled that Cuban. I hope the Dinnegan and McDonaghs let John Joe have the reception he deserves in Mullingar.
