The bickering and all the bull**** did. But once they start talking about the fight and negotiations, I still am hopeful.
Yes for the reasons you've mentioned. It's been drawn out for far too long. Used to be frustrated now I'm just Indifferent to most of it. If they were to fight now I'd probably watch but it just wouldn't be the same.
Don't know if they ****ed up since both did pretty well not fighting eachother. But they certainly did hurt their standing legacy wise. Think they care though?:bart
Frankly, I'm more interested in Chavez-Martinez than Pacquaio - Mayweather. Will young and prime Chavez impose his mass and strength on Martinez's aging legs? Or will skills and experience win out? More interesting to me. Another is Donaire-Nishioka. Does Donaire's power and recklessness lose to Nishioka's skill and tenacity or will Donaire prove he's P4P # 3?
C'mon fellas. Right now we can all say f 'em both, but if we had espn breaking news that the fight was agreed on, you know that 95% of the people that wanted to see it in 2009 would still would still want to see it now. Would you rather see Pac-Bradley 2, Pac-Marquez 4? From the initial press conference and throughout 24/7 up to the fight, you know people would be right back in. You know if there was a woman you wanted to be with in 2009 and it didn't happen until 4 years later, you know you'd still want to get in there still.
Terrible analogy. I would not want to "get in" 95% of the bitches I wanted in high school. And even your dream girl loses her luster when you find out she's turned into a dirty *****. The Floyd-Pac fight is the hot innocent high school girl next door who turned into a nasty party ***** when she went off to college. Somewhere in the back of your mind you still want it to happen but it will never be the same as it could've been.
Ok in a sense yes. You're right. But I still think it could still be a major attraction unlike any other. At least the whole event would be.
It sure is true that it should have happened years ago, but to call yourself boxing fan and not to want this fight is stupid. If it comes to this it will be talked about in every country in every web page tv newspapers and everywhere this fight is something boxing needs!!!
Honestly don't care for it at all anymore, I think Pac has lost his last two fights. Mayweather is still a superb boxer but Pac isn't the monster he once was.
Of course I would still be interested. But instead of being the defining fight of this generation, it will merely be just another big fight; No different to May v Cotto, Pac v Marquez etc. Only boxing could fcuk up a situation like Mayweather & Pacquiao 2009-2011.
