The biggest problem with this score is that 2 and 5 were clear Edgar rounds. They gave both 3 and 4 to Bendo? Those were close and even Rogan was leaning with Edgar on both. 49-46 Edgar was actually more acceptable.
I gave round 1 to Henderson based on the choke attempt. I gave him the 3rd just because he was the champ, and I thought the judges would side with him. There is no way Henderson was close to winning rounds 2,4, and 5. This is another bull**** decision.
Thought Bendo won the first fight. Thought that Edgar won the second fight. A rematch would be warranted, hilariously enough.
I like Bendo/Nate, so I am fine without a rematch. Bendo and Edgar are clearly just very evenly matched. I don't think either could really put on a dominant performance against one another.
Guillard/Cerrone was ****ing crazy for as long as it lasted. Herman/Shields was actually worse than I thought it would be, even though I didn't have high expectations. Okami/Roberts was whatever. Okami should have won that, and he did. Roberts had a slightly better showing than expected, but nothing too memorable happened. Holloway/Lawrence was good. Great finish. Much like Bas, i enjoy nothing more than a good liver shot. I would like to see Holloway rematch Poirier. He did very well in the first fight, despite coming in on short notice against a very tough opponent. I would like to see Holloway face him coming off a full training camp. Could be a very different fight. All in all, 3 out of 5 aint bad. Decent PPV.
