You asked the question, I gave you an answer. The hype around Cris didn't just come out of thin air. Unless they rematch, we will never know, but I fully believe an in shape, healthy Cris takes Adamek out late. As much as I like Tomas, his hands are slower, he doesn't have as much pop, and an out of shape Arreola was able to walk him down when he decided to actually fight.
Chris cannot take out what is not in front of him. Adamek may get caught with the first punch but is smart enough to get out of the way of what comes next....this is what won him the fight not Chris' lard.. Arreola cannot deal with movement. It's that simple. He was "in shape" for several post Adamek fights and managed to get rocked in several of those.
He fought a good fight, moving in and out on a guy who couldn't move. Cris will never be confused with a ballerina, but had he increased his workrate just a bit, would have landed more of those first shots. Over 10 rounds, an extra shot here and there adds up to 20-30 more shots. That's a lot for a much smaller man to absorb. An in shape Cris has a much higher workrate.
dont get the Adamek hate guy reached the apex at cruiser could have stayed and defended the title but he went for the gold took a big risk moving up and really sacrificed a lot on his career with the big gamble He kept walking to Vitali and kept taking punishment in a fight he had no shot in but he tried and never gave up thats really what fans ask most out of boxers to give an honest effort and come out for every round and try Adamek did that yet he is joke on here i appreciate the guy for his pre heavyweight career and his power didnt carry up and he has his flaws but he has been largely successful Arreola is a guy i dont root for but is exciting as hell and very dangerous it just sucks that his career path has taken him down a road of obscurity
If you believe Haye ducked Adamek, and that he did so because he was scared & would certainly lose because of Adamek's workrate then you belong in a care home. At what point in his career was Adamek a viable, legitimate opponent? Everyone without a -ski at the end of their name knows that Haye would butcher Adamek & unlike Vitali he wouldnt carry him for 10 rounds
oh my god. i actually agree with polishpummler on something. he's right, adamek moves too much for the fat tub of lard. doesn't matter what weight he comes in at, he'd still lose the fight. because he's ****. when the fight was made i knew adamek was going to win. couldn't believe it when i read the forums and they were mostly going for arreola. he lost, and he lost good. i had him clearly losing on the cards. wasn't really close at all. haye still wipes adamek clean out. it wouldn't be a fight.
Watch the highlite vid i posted. Plenty of moments where Adamek was "wobbled" or "rocked" are nothing more than Chris throwing his fat around. Tomasz blocked or got out of the way of alot of danger. Although not untouchable Adameks defense and footwork had Chris stumped.
