It's funny/sad that HBO has to subtitle a guy who is allegedly speaking English.

Roger "Black Mamba/Black Jack" Mayweather, as a former 2-time division world champion at 130 & 140 he had a lot of good if not great moments as a fighter. He had his good and he had his bad but I think that in the end when Roger himself reflects on past moments of his career he'll agree that the positives outweighed the negatives no matter how dramatic. My personable/memorable moments of Roger Mayweather was when he won his first division title in Puerto Rico by defeating the long time defending 2-time WBA(Ring Magazine Champion) Samuel Serrano by an 8th round knockout for the belt in January, 1983 and then three months later he had to go back to Puerto Rico and defend that title against unbeaten mandatory challenger Jorge Alvarado and scored a dramatic come from behind 8th round technical knockout to retain the belt, and it was a win that actually put him on a big money unification course against his at the time unbeaten WBC counterpart Hector "Macho" Camacho a fight which unfortunately didn't happen. Then a year later it all came crashing down when Roger and his unbeaten record got crushed in just 1:31 of the first round against Rocky Lockridge on NBC sportsworld. Following a surprise 3rd round tko win over unbeaten and favored prospect Kenny Baysmore a year later Roger got a taste of Mexican lightning in the form of Julio Ceasar Chavez Sr., in their first fight in the spring of '85 when Chavez recorded a 2nd round tko victory over Roger on CBS sports a feat that would be repeated by the Mexican great on HBO four years later in July, 1989 via 10th round tko. In between those set backs against Chavez and Lockridge were memorible wins against well known opposition from a huge '87 5th round knockout over defending titleholder Rene Arrondondo at the old Great Western Forum, to impressive decision wins in 88' over Harold Brazier and Vinny Pazienza, both on PPV, and one significant win over Livingstone Bramble before the sun eventually set on his career. Yeah, everybody hear has there own opinions but Roger definitely made his mark and definitely deserves mention on this thread. Keep on punching Roger.
