floyd sr is a defensive specialist. look at his body of work... he created floyd jr. he had francisco bojado looking very special...with out floyd sr...ordinary. he had chad dawson looking pretty good too. he extended oscars career. without floyd...vargas would have ko'd dlh.
I am not making any excuses but the reason Hatton struggled at the end of his career was because he had trouble making weight actually.
Based on that all the fighters that trains with roach lacks basic boxing technic, like defense, footwork or inside fighting. With Floyd at least we know that knows himself his ****, with only viewing his fights.
I love how Khan's ******ed fans love to blame anything they can find for his loss. The first time he got starched against Prescott it was his "amateurish" corner's fault. Now he got starched again and it's his corner's fault yet again. :nut Whatever happened to the all the praises for Freddy and his "amazing" work on Khan?, Roach gives advice, he doesn't fight for Khan. I believe Roach made it clear over and over that he doesn't want Khan to open up to impress twitter fans, Khan is the one that never listened.
Khan is set in his ways! He'll start super fast as always and when he gets cracked good, he's doing the Judah dance and running all over the place.
So Toney who was trained by Freddie Roach when he made a career resurgence didnt have basic boxing tech, didnt have defense or inside fighting?Or Virgil Hill who was one of most skilled LHW of his era?And you cant deny that he has done a great job with Pac? Sr on the other hand did a great job with his son who was also blessed with great natural talent, did a nice job with Oscar and thats about it, nobody wants to stay with him for more than a couple of fights cause he thinks hes bigger than the fighters and wants the spotlight all to himself instead of letting the fighters shine, not to mention that he doesnt give a **** about the fighters, a perfect example of that was Hatton when Ricky was splattered on the canvas looking dead after Pac knocked him out the scumbag Sr didnt even bother to check and see if was ok he was out of there in a heartbeat, had Hatton somehow manage to win that fight you can bet your ass that Sr would be there drinking his kool aid and taking all the credit for the win.
It might really be the same thing as Hatton. Snr knows a lot but his style isn't for fighters like Hatton or Khan.
Freddie Roach only trained Toney for a few fights when he was heavyweight and doesn't teach him any new. This is the man who made Toney (besides Toney himself): [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQA0ZvcbOcI[/ame]
Why would you put that 'same move everytime' quote, in an attempt to deride Mayweather's coaching ability, when the very reason Ricky Hatton said 'same move every time' is because Floyd Sr. showed him a tape of Pacquiao hooking over the jab and told him he always does it and not to get caught with it Not much more you can do other than that :huh
You try to give Freddie Roach credit for James Toney as if he wasn't already an incredibly polished fighter at the time :-( Then saying Floyd had great natural talent so Sr's training is void :-( Drinking his cool aid? You're a ****ing dickhead
You mad *****? put the tampon back in your ass and stop crying. Toney at the time wasnt going nowhere. It was Roach that helped him get back into shape and back at the top. As for Sr hes a scumbag. If that gets your butt hurt. thats your problem. Deal with it cocksucker.
Khan has a Chin problem. Floyd Sr. can't fix that. Khan has a Glass Jaw. You can't train a Chin. It doesn't matter who trains him he is going to continue to get brutally and embarrassingly KOed.
