Is he going to make an impact? The guy is not just a former boxer. He was a rated heavyweight contender. Although lack of chin and size may be a factor. Compared to James Toney who just went in there and rolled with Couture, Williams seems to transition much better. My hunch is that his striking may take him places. Noguera brothers and Dos Santos have had success with straight up boxing. I'm imagining if he actually develop a respectable TD and ground game.
With his striking credentials, and a judo background, he was an interesting prospect. Now he is almost 40 years old, and hasn't had an mma bout in over 4 1/2 years. I doubt he has much of an impact.
Why is anyone even talking about Williams any more when he doesn't fight competitively anymore? Isn't he like 40+ now? His time came and went a long time ago.
Jeremy Williams kodded some nobodies 5 years ago so he's a top prospect that proves boxing > MMA :conf
