My man Floyd Mayweather was a teenager also. Why was he never knocked out? If being a teenager causes fighters to be prone to getting knocked out, then many more of today's top fighters would've suffered the same. He was knocked out before so he can be knocked out again. They stayed away (ducked) from Shane Mosley when he was still capable of delivering the KO punch to Manny's chin. If that would've been the Pacman getting his chin checked on May 1, 2010 he would've been in a sleeping bag. He did have the tools but careful consideration of opponents found him in the ring with guy who were incapable of repeating the feat. Pacman will get knocked out (again) if he hangs around for too long.

In that fight against Torrencampo....i always felt this...doesn't it look like he got hits in the nuts? Where does the punch hit him in the face?

He finally got good when a chicken started to duck him.

Where in the world can you find a chicken and a duck at the same time?

Pac didn't start out as an Olympic golden boy or a highly touted prospect or a member of a boxing dynasty. He was not the product of a famous gym, he was not backed up by a powerful promotional organization, he was not built up towards opportunities, he was not micro-managed.

He was none of these things. He was a skinny, penniless nobody from the streets of the Philippines. Therefore, it was only natural/normal that he incurred some losses and had some tough, hard nights before he learned his craft.

Pacquiao had natural physical strengths, as shown by having the power to knock out one of the best flyweights of the 1990s in Sasakul in '98.

But it took him time to learn his craft and become an elite fighter. His breakout performance was Barrera in 2003, but even by 2001 he had shown he was a top fighter by knocking out Ledwaba, who was himself a good solid world champion.

So I'd say around 2001 before he became a high level fighter, even though he'd won a world title years earlier.

    RAW POWER.

Pacquiao was the already good at his lower weight days, except on his teens that he brawls to eat. I say it again: BRAWL TO EAT.

His style was perfect to his skill, and Roach saw it. Roach got Pac and harnessed it. I heard a news one time that He still has to see pac fight more fights just to train him. and when he won fights, freddy eventually trained pac. But Freddy still doesnt want Pac get into higher level fights coz he still want to make sure he got the skill to fight on higher level fights. I heard on an interview that Roach was rating Pacquiao's tuneup fights before he fought barerra. "Manny is 80% ready". "Manny is 95% ready to fight Marco antonio Barerra. It's time to fight him". just like that.
